Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Assisi
Suore Francescane Missionarie Di Assisi
Wherever we are, we try to make St. Francis of Assisi’s wonderful charism present in today’s world, just like Mother Angela tried to do.
In prayer and action, from our contemplation of the face of the Glorious Crucified Christ in San Damiano to the practice of the works of mercy, we are “restoring” life wherever it is threatened or wounded, bringing hope wherever human violence and oppression has suffocated the dignity of men and women, being instruments of peace, dialog, communion and universal fraternity.
A small gathering of women sought to live the Gospel together in Assisi, Italy in 1702, according to the understanding of their Father Saint Francis, by educating young women in need.
At the time, this small gathering sought to move like Jesus and His followers along the road, expanding and responding to the needs of the times.

Always, these women will be telling of the tenderness of God, like Jesus; bringing peace and good, like Francis and Father Joseph Anthony Marcheselli OFM Conv; and welcoming teaching, praying and witnessing as did Mother Angela del Giglio.
